Over the line
Your Music, Fully Realised
Professional Songwriting, Recording, Production, Project Management,
Mixing, Mastering, Distribution, and Promotion. All under one roof.
Most artists struggle with
Unfinished demos
Inconsistent releases
Lack of structure and long term plan
Juggling different creatives and engineers with no cohesion
Musical Isolation
Unsure release strategies
I created ‘Over the Line’ to help artists finish what they start.
It is the one stop shop to take your music from voice note to fully fledged release.
The aim is simple.
Write consistently, finish wholly, release strategically.
No more hard drive graveyards, no rushed singles, or scattered efforts.
Real artistic development over time
How will we achieve that?
I am a multi-disciplinary creator, songwriter, producer, engineer, and project manager. Instead of having to find multiple different creatives and engineers, explain your creative vision, and trust they will execute it, you have one point of contact who understands the DNA of your project and ensures the ideas in your head translate into music you will be proud of.
I will help you write your songs, build a production around them, write sheet music, book and liaise with session musicians, record you/session musician/myself, comp, tune, and time align those recordings, mix those recordings, master those mixes, distribute your music, and help you build a release strategy to ensure all of the hard work doesn't fall at the final hurdle.
Accountability is the biggest issue I’ve faced when trying to maintain momentum with a song. The easiest person to let down is yourself. I bring accountability to your projects, instead of “I’ll record that tomorrow”, or “I’ll finish that next week”, we have hard, realistic deadlines and clear objectives of when and how your music will progress.
In a traditional setting, you, the artist, may spend up to 40% or more of your time acting as an unpaid project manager. Chasing files, explaining vision, vetting session musicians, finding engineers, handling invoices, booking studio time, organising distribution, pitching your music, promoting your music, and untold other tasks and admin that is involved in creating and sharing music. With the structure and workflows I have constructed, you can focus on being the artist, and alleviate the burden of these tasks which not only slow down the creation of your music, but can also remove you from the flow state and can be massively demotivating if problems arise. ‘Over the Line’ was built to support you and enable you to be the most efficient and creative you can be.

A studio day consists of a 7 hour day at the studio, where we will carry out most of the work. If you choose to work more than one day a month, then we can schedule those however suits you, from once a week, to four days in a row. There is also the possibility to work remotely, live-streaming the session so it’s still a collaborative process, or I can travel to you if you have a suitable space, or any other location if mobile recording is required.
The studio is Mac based, running both Pro Tools, and Logic Pro, and is well equipped with Prism Sound conversion, Daking mic preamps, and a wide selection of microphones, plugins, and virtual instruments. It is also home to an upright piano, and a Korg Minilogue analogue synthesiser. You can find the full gear list here
The roadmap for our first sessions is laid out here, with what you can expect to have achieved within 5 sessions of us working together

How Could My Track Sound?
Here are some recent examples of work I have undertaken across various roles to help showcase what some of the possibilities for your music may be.
This is one of my original songs, I was responsible for the writing, recording, vocals, piano, production, session musician fixing, and mixing of this track
This artist had written the lyrics for this and wanted a pop-synth/rock crossover musical accompaniment. This was an entire ‘Over the Line’ production. The material provided was an unaccompanied vocal track, which formed the basis of the song. I handled the refining of the melody, harmony, production, arrangement, session musician booking, recording, and mixing for this track, whilst trying to keep true to the artist’s brief and guide track.
I was responsible for the mixing of this track, the artist was after a warm and dreamy feel to compliment their songwriting.
This artist was after a punchy and modern mix to match up to their vision of the track. We worked through the track, placing and enhancing the large number of elements and making sure we kept true to their brief
This is another example in a very different style of how a full ‘Over the Line’ production can sound. This is another example where I was given an unaccompanied vocal track, and helped elevate this with a more nuanced melody line, harmony, arrangement, session musician booking, recording, and mixing.
This is another track where I was responsible for the mixing. It was already a solid sounding track, so this mix was mostly elevating and making sure it was fully coheisive.
This artist had a solid song, but wanted it to have a more country-rock feel. I took the base they had built, and arranged additional instrumentation to help elevate and enhance their vision.
I’d love to hear from you and what your plans are for your music. If you’re interested in seeing how ‘Over the Line’ might be able to help you reach and exceed those goals, book in a meeting with me using the link below. Hope to hear from you soon!
